Restoration and extension of 2 merchant houses at the Waterkant 30-32 in Paramaribo.

Both houses were built in the second quarter of the 19th century after their predecessors were destroyed in the city fire of 1821. The front of both houses is fully original, but the rear has been extended many times. Until recently, the two buildings together were the head-office of the Ministry of social affairs. KDV made a restoration plan in 2017. Construction started in 2022 after financing by the PURP program had become available.
